Plot

Shiv (Abhishek Bachchan) and Pooja (Karishma Kapoor) both seek employment and coincidentally interview for the same job at the same company. Equally qualified, Pooja resorts to deception to secure the position ahead of Shiv. As they both eventually land jobs in the company, Shiv discovers Pooja’s trickery. Despite initial pranks and playful moments, they fall in love and marry. However, their differing approaches to life lead to occasional disagreements.

Shiv, embracing each day as it comes, contrasts with Pooja, whose vivid imagination sometimes takes over. Pooja sacrifices her career to be a housewife, and their honeymoon in Switzerland introduces them to Meghna, Shiv’s college friend. A chance encounter during a snowy night leads to Shiv giving Meghna a ride, inadvertently worsening the rift between Shiv and Pooja. Misunderstandings escalate when Shiv spends the night with Meghna, leading Pooja to ask for a divorce.

Pooja relocates to Mumbai, where she becomes the secretary of Raj (Akshay Kumar), a film star craving love. As Raj falls for Pooja and she reciprocates, they go for a shoot in Naini Hills, where Shiv turns out to be the hotel manager. Pooja, still harboring resentment, refuses to forgive Shiv. Raj, learning of Pooja’s lingering love for Shiv, decides to reunite them. Pooja and Shiv remarry and soon welcome a baby girl.
